Gates says that windows 7 (catchy name btw, not quite as ridiculous as "longhorn" though) will be released sometime next year "or so." Now this is all fine and good, except when you remember that Vista has 7 years of development, 4 of which were after XP was released so one can assume they were years dedicated to creating the OS.

So now they want to come out with a better OS in less than 2 years.

So, is this wonderful piece of software already in an early beta? I am so excited to see how horrible this thing is. And I am also excited to see SP8 for vista in the coming years as it will still be everyones primary OS!
