Some states - and get this, they're almost all in the south - are making in harder for "illegal" immigrants to afford, or even go to college.
This fall, the University of Arkansas will require students to submit Social Security numbers and proof of residency. In May, Arkansas Department of Higher Education Director Jim Purcell warned that students without documentation "will not be considered as legally enrolled students" when determining an institution's state funding.
Yes, because it would be a shame to tarnish the great Arkansasian (I know it's not a word, I don't care) educational system with students would, at worst, help the youth of that state learn how to interact with diverse people. Next thing you know schools in the south will be so overcrowded with immigrants that the children won't use proper grammar.
