The mayor of Toledo doesnt want military training going on in his downtown, the only possible reason (according to the comments):

The mayor and those who agree with him should move to Berkley, CA, where they would be amongst their own. This is the height of stupidity. As a veteran, and someone who travels frequently through Toledo, I have spent my last dollar there.

When I read the headine from this story, my first thought was that Ohio had been invaded by the socialists from Berkley.

That mayor should be ashamed of himself. Frightened people? Better to be frightened if we did not have a military to protect us from the real thing. Shame on you mayor for disrespecting our military.

i think i speak for all reasonable people when i say a few things:

toledo will not be the site of a terrorist attack anytime soon... maybe after gary indiana
whats up with the berkley bashing? (yes, i know about them not wanting marine recruiters)
why does a unit from Grand Rapids need to go to Toledo for this training? Detroit and Flint have literally thousands of abandoned buildings that could be trained in... damn outsourcing!

People are stupid... actually, since this blog is so new, i may consider changing the name...
