Apple Opposes California's Prop 8, which would ban gay marriage. Then they put their money where their mouth is and donated $100,000 to the "No" campaign.

Apple views this as a civil rights issue, rather than just a political issue, and is therefore speaking out publicly against Proposition 8.

A while back Google announced they were against it as well, I mentioned it in a post when it happened. It's good to see that these visible public companies have a conscience and are speaking out.
