IE issues

Finally fixed an issue that was causing the site to display improperly in IE for the last few weeks (articles and internal pages were fine, but the home page just showed the banner and titles)

So, for any IE users that may have missed some posts - sorry, my bad!

(for the nerds that care, it looks like IE is not seeing where a span that is set to not display is closing, so it was hiding everything below it... stupid IE)
