Baseball parks have long been identified by architectural touches, from arching facades to ivy-covered walls. These days, they are widely recognized by grass, cropped into distinctive, green-hued designs using the everyday tools of mowers, rollers and other grass-bending gadgets.
The way that carve images into the grass at fields like Fenway is nothing short of awesome. My favorite design? It's always been the concentric circles working out from the mound. I remember cutting my parents yard to look that way and always being disappointed that I couldn't get it to look right.
