Good intentions, horrible idea

A highschool in California lied to it's students, telling them that 26 of thier classmates have been killed in drunk-driving related accidents.

"They were traumatized, but we wanted them to be traumatized"

It's bullshit like this that leads to "what you dont know might kill you" being the lead story on the news every night. Does this need to be made up at a school of over 3,000? I mean, where I'm from, it happened every other year (that was at a school of 700). Have no real children died in this community that they can use as examples? And if they don't have a real life example then these students are exemplary, and don't need to be making deaths up.
