Some people see things that are and ask, Why? Some people dream of things that never were and ask, Why not? Some people have to go to work and don't have time for all that.

I was never that much of a fan, I think I was just too young to really appreciate him. But what always struck me was how well thought out his seemingly harsh jokes were. Maybe the standard is set too low for comedians - I guess I don't know.

I think like many great comedians his legacy will be more concerned with his excellent use of language rather than his jokes, and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.
