Also note that the people talking about how much they miss the stadium are from the suburbs. These are the same cheap assholes that don't care about anything for miles in either direction. They remind me of a dead addicts enablers at his funeral. It's because of those selfish people that Detroit couldn't find money to do any actual redevelopment of the land that kept part of the stadium intact (remember the plans for a shopping center - or the condos - or the reduced seating minor league ballpark? I do).
So yes, it will be missed greatly, but it doesn't have to be completely gone. And that's sad.
